Fractals I started making fractals around the end of may 2008. I discovered Ultra Fractal on Deviant Art and I loved the things you could do with it. Unfortuantly you have to pay for Ultra Fractal, but there was a 31 days trail and so I tried it out. About a month later I discovered Apophysis. A similar program and totally free. I'm only using Apophysis 2.08 now. Apophysis is an open source fractal flame editor and renderer for Microsoft Windows. You can see many examples in my fractal gallery. I've seen some amazing art made with Apophysis and I hope to be as good as those fractalists some day.
